Mason nets 17 points in UIC’s 74-70 victory over Drake.

CHICAGO — In an exciting matchup on Wednesday, Jordan Mason came off the bench to score 17 points, powering the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Flames to a 74-70 victory over the Drake Bulldogs.

Mason contributed significantly with five assists, helping the Flames improve their record to 10-4 overall and 2-1 in the Missouri Valley Conference. Alongside Mason, Javon Jackson added 16 points, showcasing his efficiency by hitting 3 of 6 shots from the field and converting an impressive 10 of 12 from the free-throw line. Furthermore, Tyem Freeman made his mark with 15 points, going 5 of 8 overall and achieving a remarkable 5 for 7 from beyond the arc.

On the other side, Bennett Stirtz had a standout performance for Drake, finishing the game with 30 points and dishing out 12 assists.
