COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — In a commanding performance, UNLV secured a 77-58 victory over Air Force on Tuesday night, with Julian Rishwain making a notable contribution of 16 points.
Rishwain also showcased his defensive prowess by recording three steals for the Rebels, who improved their record to 8-5, and have a solid standing of 2-0 in the Mountain West Conference. Not far behind, Jaden Henley added 14 points to the scoreboard, achieving six successful shots out of ten attempts and converting one out of three free throws. Jeremiah Cherry made an impressive mark as well, finishing the game with 13 points on a perfect shooting night, going 5 for 5 from the field and 3 out of 5 at the charity stripe.
Ethan Taylor stood out for the Falcons, leading his team with 14 points, while also grabbing eight rebounds and recording four steals. Kyle Marshall contributed by scoring 11 points to the team’s effort.
UNLV had established a comfortable lead by halftime, heading into the break at 38-26. Jailen Bedford was the leading scorer for the Rebels in the first half, contributing 10 points before the break, while Henley took charge in the second half with a team-high of 12 points, further solidifying UNLV’s advantage.
