BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Harold Fannin Jr., a record-breaking tight end from Bowling Green, has decided to forgo his final year of collegiate football and will enter the NFL draft.
Fannin took to social media on Monday to share his announcement, highlighting his impressive achievements throughout his college career. He made history in the Football Bowl Subdivision by amassing a staggering 117 receptions and 1,555 receiving yards, leading the nation in both statistics. His remarkable performance also earned him the title of Bowling Green’s first consensus All-American in football. Additionally, he tied for having the most games with 100 receiving yards in the nation, with a total of eight games.
Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 230 pounds, the junior from Canton capped off his Bowling Green tenure with a notable performance in the 68 Ventures Bowl, where he recorded 17 catches for 213 yards and a touchdown, despite the team suffering a narrow 38-31 defeat to Arkansas State in Mobile, Alabama. His postseason achievements in terms of receptions and receiving yards also set new records in the FBS.
Fannin is anticipated to be among the top tight ends selected in the upcoming NFL draft, further highlighting his transition from college star to professional prospect.
