COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — In a strong performance, Rodney Johnson Jr. scored 33 points, leading the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles to a 95-75 victory against the Milligan Buffaloes, an NAIA team, on Sunday.
In addition to his impressive scoring, Johnson contributed five rebounds to his team’s success, helping the Golden Eagles improve their season record to 6-7. Kyle Layton supported the effort with 11 points and provided five assists, while Ray Glasgow contributed with 10 points, shooting 4 of 7 from the field and making 2 of 4 attempts from beyond the arc.
For the Buffaloes, Handje Tamba was a standout player, finishing the game with 18 points and securing 11 rebounds. Other notable contributions came from Sam Gold, who scored nine points and grabbed six rebounds, alongside Jayme Peay, who also added nine points to the scoreboard.
This matchup showcased the Golden Eagles’ strong offensive performance and teamwork, which was crucial in securing their win against Milligan.
