DALLAS — In an exciting showcase on Sunday, Kevin Miller shone brightly for the Mustangs of SMU, scoring 24 points in their convincing 98-82 win against Longwood.
Miller’s performance also included five rebounds and seven assists, further solidifying his role in the victory for the team, which now boasts an impressive record of 11-2.
Teammate Yohan Traore contributed significantly as well, finishing the game with 20 points, shooting 7 of 10 from the field and managing to sink 2 out of 4 three-point attempts while also converting all four of his free throws.
Additionally, he collected 11 rebounds, showcasing his all-around game.
Matt Cross added 19 points to the scoreboard, achieving a shooting percentage of 60% by going 6 for 10 from the field, which included 2 for 5 from beyond the arc, along with 5 out of 6 free throws.
The Mustangs continue to build momentum, extending their winning streak to seven games, reflecting their strong performance on the court.

On the other hand, Longwood’s efforts were led by Elijah Tucker, who recorded 20 points and six rebounds.
Colby Garland also put up a notable performance, finishing with 19 points and 11 assists, while Emanuel Richards contributed with 12 points of his own.
The game was competitive, but SMU gained the upper hand as the first half concluded, thanks to a jumper by Chuck Harris that put them ahead 45-43.
Traore was instrumental in this first-half lead, scoring 15 points before halftime.
The Mustangs surged in the second half with a remarkable 18-2 run, increasing their lead from nine points to a commanding 25 points.
In the end, they outscored Longwood by 14 points in the second half, with Miller leading the charge by scoring 13 points during that frame.
