Avalanche obtain Juuso Parssinen in trade with Predators

The Colorado Avalanche made a significant move on Saturday by acquiring center Juuso Parssinen from the Nashville Predators.

As part of this deal, the Avalanche also received a seventh-round draft pick for the 2026 NHL draft. In exchange, they sent forward Ondrej Pavel and a third-round pick for the 2027 draft to Nashville.

This season, Parssinen has contributed two goals and three assists in 15 games with the Predators. The 23-year-old Finnish player has accumulated a total of 16 goals and 26 assists over 104 games during his 2.5-year stint with Nashville.

On the other hand, 24-year-old Pavel was signed by the Avalanche as a free agent on March 30, 2023, following three seasons at Minnesota State University-Mankato. However, he has yet to register any points in his two NHL appearances with Colorado.
