— In an impressive display of skill, Deuce Turner contributed significantly to UC Santa Barbara’s 89-72 victory over Westcliff, a member of the NAIA, on Saturday night.
Turner finished the game with 21 points, showcasing his shooting accuracy by making 8 of his 13 attempts, which included successfully sinking 3 out of 5 three-point shots. He also added 2 free throws from 3 attempts, helping the Gauchos improve their record to 8-5 this season.
Kenny Pohto also made a notable impact on the scoreboard, scoring 19 points while grabbing 11 rebounds, a double-double that greatly aided his team. Furthermore, Zion Sensley was effective as well, contributing 13 points with a shooting performance of 4 out of 6, which included 2 three-point baskets, and converting 3 of 5 from the charity stripe.
