CHICAGO — Ayo Dosunmu, a guard for the Chicago Bulls, is dealing with a strain in his right calf and is set to be reassessed in about 10 days.
The injury occurred during the Bulls’ game against Milwaukee on Monday night, where they suffered a 112-91 defeat. The team shared an update on his condition this past Saturday.
Currently 24 years old, Dosunmu will celebrate his 25th birthday on January 17. He has been performing well in his fourth season in the NBA, with averages of 12.6 points and 4.8 assists per game. Up to this point in the season, he has played in 30 games, including starting in 17 of them.
A native of Chicago, Dosunmu was drafted by the Bulls in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft. His development has been closely watched, as he has become an integral part of the team’s roster.
As the Bulls navigate this player setback, they will be hoping for a swift recovery for Dosunmu, which would be key in maintaining their competitiveness in the league this season.
