Wisconsin’s Braedyn Locke moves to Arizona as a quarterback transfer

TUCSON, Ariz. — Former Wisconsin quarterback Braedyn Locke has made the decision to join the Arizona Wildcats.
Locke shared this news in a post on X, previously known as Twitter, on Friday, adding to Arizona’s quarterback roster alongside returning QB Noah Fifita.

After taking a redshirt year at Mississippi State in 2022, Locke had an impressive season with the Badgers, where he amassed 1,936 passing yards, along with throwing 13 touchdowns compared to 10 interceptions.
With his addition, the Wildcats are expected to implement a revamped offensive strategy, particularly under the new direction of offensive coordinator Seth Doege, who studied under the late Mike Leach from Texas Tech.

Fifita has been the primary starter for Arizona for the majority of the last two seasons, and he confirmed his return to the program earlier this month, setting the stage for potentially dynamic quarterback competition in the upcoming season.
The combination of Locke’s experience and Fifita’s familiarity with the team’s system is poised to enhance Arizona’s offensive capabilities significantly.
