NORMAN, Okla. — Raegan Beers recorded a career-high matching performance with 28 points as the No. 10 ranked Oklahoma team triumphed over Omaha with a lopsided score of 111-65 on Sunday.

The 6-foot-4 center, Beers, showcased her skills by making 11 of her 13 shot attempts and contributing nine rebounds, supporting Oklahoma in securing their fifth consecutive victory following an overtime defeat against Duke.

Skylar Vann also had a stellar game, finishing with 12 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists, while Kiersten Johnson added another 12 points for the Sooners, who now have an impressive record of 11-1. This game marked the third occasion this season that Oklahoma scored over 100 points, as they entered the day ranked fourth in the nation with an average of 90.7 points per game.

For Omaha, Ja Harvey led the scoring with 21 points, complemented by Cora Olsen’s contribution of 15 points. The Mavericks, at 8-5, had been on a seven-game winning streak until they faced a daunting task against the Sooners, conceding a season-high total in points.

Oklahoma had a strong start and ended the first half ahead by a score of 52-34, with Beers contributing 15 points and six rebounds during that period. The Sooners significantly increased their lead in the third quarter by outscoring Omaha 35-25, bringing the score to 87-59. This burst matched Oklahoma’s highest point total in a single quarter this season, with the team hitting 14 field goals—five of which were three-pointers.

Key observations from the game revealed that outside of Harvey, the rest of the Mavericks struggled offensively, with Harvey making 8 of 14 shots while the rest of the team combined for just 15 of 52. Conversely, the Sooners maintained their dominance in the paint and utilized their speed effectively, ending the game with a rebounding advantage of 57 to 33 and forcing 20 turnovers from Omaha.

Oklahoma established their control early by scoring the first eight points of the game, finishing the first quarter with a solid 26-10 lead. A standout statistic from the matchup indicates that Omaha made only 2 of 21 attempts from beyond the arc, while Oklahoma excelled, making 13 of 35.

Looking ahead, Omaha is set to host North Dakota on January 2, while Oklahoma will take on New Mexico State on December 29.
