SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Missouri State emerged victorious against UCSB with a score of 68-56 on Sunday, bolstered by a standout performance from Dez White, who netted 26 points.
White’s shooting was impressive, going 6 for 11 overall, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc, and he excelled at the free-throw line, hitting 11 of 12 attempts. His contributions were significant in leading the Bears to a 7-5 season record. Vincent Brady II provided additional support, scoring 13 points with a shooting accuracy of 50%, alongside seven rebounds. Meanwhile, Michael Osei-Bonsu contributed with 10 points after making 5 of 8 shots.
For the Gauchos, who also hold a 7-5 record, Kenny Pohto was a key performer, finishing the game with 20 points, 10 rebounds, and four assists. Cole Anderson added 11 points, while Deuce Turner chipped in with seven points.
Missouri State managed to seize control of the game with just over six minutes left in the first half, leading 31-25 at halftime thanks to White’s 17 points.
