RICHMOND, Va. — Joe Bamisile had an impressive performance, netting 20 points as VCU triumphed over William & Mary with a final score of 90-70 on Sunday. Bamisile exhibited effective shooting, going 9 for 15 overall, including 2 for 6 from three-point territory.
In addition to Bamisile’s standout game, Zeb Jackson contributed significantly, scoring 14 points on 5 of 11 shooting, including 2 for 5 from long range. He also grabbed five rebounds and went 2 for 3 from the free-throw line. Max Shulga rounded out the scoring for the Rams (10-3) with 13 points, managing to hit 5 of his 10 attempts from the field and converting 2 out of 3 free throws.
For the Tribe (5-7), Gabe Dorsey was the leading scorer with 16 points, followed closely by Noah Collier with 13 points and Kyle Frazier who added 10 points to the tally.
VCU took control of the game with 3:37 remaining in the first half, establishing a lead they would maintain for the rest of the match. Bamisile was particularly instrumental in the first half, scoring 11 points, which helped VCU secure a 42-37 advantage at halftime. The Rams began to pull away in the second half with a robust 13-2 run, which expanded their lead from 15 to an impressive 26 points.
