SOUTH EASTON, Mass. — Louie Semona led the charge for Stonehill with an impressive 22-point performance, guiding the Skyhawks to a 90-83 victory over New Hampshire on Sunday.
In addition to his scoring, Semona contributed six rebounds, helping Stonehill improve to a 7-7 record. Chas Stinson pitched in with 16 points, shooting 60% from the field by hitting 6 of 10 attempts and 4 of 5 from the free-throw line. He also facilitated the offense with five assists and recorded three steals. Meanwhile, Josh Morgan added to the scoreboard with 12 points, successfully converting all four of his free-throw attempts, although he struggled from beyond the arc, missing all three of his three-point shots.
For the Wildcats, Sami Pissis was the standout player, scoring 20 points. Khalil Badru contributed 15 points, and Giancarlo Bastianoni had a solid game with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Unfortunately for New Hampshire, this defeat marked their sixth consecutive loss, leaving them with a record of 2-12.
Looking ahead, Stonehill is set to face Lafayette on the road next Sunday, while New Hampshire will travel to Iowa for their matchup on Monday.
