Bubu Benjamin led the way for Tarleton State as they claimed a convincing 100-83 victory over Howard Payne on Saturday night, scoring an impressive 27 points.
In addition to his scoring prowess, Benjamin recorded 10 rebounds, five assists, and four steals, greatly contributing to the Texans’ overall performance and bringing their record to 4-10.
Chris Mpaka also made significant contributions with 19 points, shooting 8 of 14 from the field and going 3 for 5 from the free-throw line, along with 12 rebounds, four steals, and three blocks.
Keitenn Bristow added another 17 points to the scoreboard, shooting 6 for 12 overall, including 2 for 5 from beyond the arc, as well as hitting 3 of 4 free throws.
On the opposing side, Armonie Ramey shone for the Yellow Jackets, scoring 22 points, along with registering eight rebounds and four steals.
Ben Phillip contributed 13 points and three steals, while Alan Rhone chipped in with 10 points to round out Howard Payne’s efforts.
This matchup showcased some impressive performances from both teams, highlighting the competitive spirit on display as they battled for supremacy on the court.
