Davidson, N.C. – In a decisive victory, the Davidson Wildcats triumphed over Bethune-Cookman with a score of 76-63 on Saturday night, thanks in large part to Bobby Durkin’s standout performance.

Durkin led his team with an impressive 23 points and secured 10 rebounds, showcasing his prowess on both ends of the court. The Wildcats, now boasting a record of 9-3, received additional support from Reed Bailey, who contributed 19 points. Bailey’s efforts included an impressive free-throw performance, where he went a perfect 9 out of 9, and he also recorded six rebounds along with five assists in the matchup. Zach Laput rounded out the scoring for Davidson with 15 points, having shot 6 of 9 from the field and connected on 3 of his 6 attempts at the foul line.

On the other side, Bethune-Cookman, who dropped to 3-9, found their top scorer in Reggie Ward Jr. He notched 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a strong effort for his team. Similarly, Brayon Freeman made significant contributions by adding another 14 points while also making an impact on defense with three steals. Tre Thomas followed suit, providing 12 points and three steals as well.
