ABILENE, Texas — In a close match on Saturday night, Abilene Christian emerged victorious over Texas Southern with a score of 69-65.
Leading the charge for the Wildcats, Leonardo Bettiol scored an impressive 22 points and contributed six rebounds to the team’s effort.
Quion Williams also had a notable performance, recording 21 points while demonstrating efficiency with 8 of 15 shooting from the field, and connecting on 4 of his 5 free throw attempts. He further supported the team with 11 rebounds.
Hunter Jack Madden struggled somewhat with his shooting, finishing with nine points on 4 of 15 from the field, but he continued to play a vital role in the game.
On the other side, the Tigers faced defeat despite a strong showing from Kavion McClain, who led his team with 19 points, seven rebounds and two steals.
Zaire Hayes contributed significantly as well, scoring 17 points and making three steals.
Kenny Hunter rounded out the Tigers’ efforts with 10 points, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks, but it wasn’t enough to seal the win.
This matchup showcased the competitive spirit of both teams and provided an exciting atmosphere for the fans in attendance.
