BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Don McHenry delivered a standout performance for Western Kentucky, scoring 29 points in a decisive 91-71 victory against Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday.
In addition to his scoring prowess, McHenry made four steals, helping secure the win for the Hilltoppers, who improved their record to 9-3.
Braxton Bayless supported the effort with 18 points, shooting an impressive 7 of 10 from the field, including a perfect 3 for 3 from beyond the arc, while also grabbing five rebounds.
Julius Thedford contributed significantly with 17 points on 6 of 13 shooting, including 3 of 7 from three-point territory.
This marked the sixth consecutive win for the Hilltoppers, showcasing their strong performance this season.

Kentucky Wesleyan’s offensive efforts were led by Quentin Toles, who scored 15 points and dished out six assists.
Fatih Huyuk added another 14 points along with six rebounds, while Kennedy Miles also contributed 14 points and five assists to the Panthers’ efforts.

The game saw Western Kentucky take control with 5:32 remaining in the first half, establishing a lead that they would not lose.
At halftime, the score stood at 46-41, with Bayless playing a crucial role by scoring 13 points by the break.

In the second half, Western Kentucky ramped up their offensive pressure with an 8-0 run, extending their lead from four points to a commanding 12 points.
The Hilltoppers outperformed Kentucky Wesleyan by 15 points in the second half, with McHenry leading the charge with an impressive 19 points in the final period.
