LYNCHBURG, Va. — Kaden Metheny shone brightly with 25 points as Liberty triumphed over UT Arlington with a score of 79-56 on Saturday.
Metheny also contributed with five assists for the Flames, who improved to an impressive 12-1 record. Zach Cleveland made a significant impact by scoring 18 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, while Taelon Peter showcased his shooting skills, going 7 of 11 from the field, including 4 for 8 from beyond the arc, for another 18 points. This victory marked the Flames’ ninth consecutive win.
For the Mavericks, who now hold a record of 6-7, Lance Ware was the standout performer, finishing the game with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and three steals. Additionally, Raysean Seamster contributed 10 points and matched Ware’s three steals, while Diante Smith chipped in with seven points.
