TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — In a commanding performance on Saturday, reserve player Jahni Summers propelled Indiana State to a decisive victory over St. Louis Pharmacy, finishing the game with 22 points in a 101-53 rout.
Summers demonstrated his sharpshooting abilities by hitting 8 of 11 attempts from the floor, including an impressive 6 of 9 from beyond the arc. His contributions helped the Sycamores, now holding a record of 8-4 overall and 2-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference, take control of the game. Markus Harding was also notable in his performance, making 6 of 7 shots and adding 13 points, while Samage Teel chipped in with 12 points after shooting 5 of 8 from the field and converting 2 of 4 free throws.
For St. Louis Pharmacy, Ahian Barnett led the scoring effort, managing to put up 12 points. His teammates Moctar Keita and Bryant Odunayo each contributed 10 points in the losing effort.
The Sycamores established an early lead just 11 seconds into the game and maintained it throughout, with Summers scoring 14 of his points in the first half. This strong performance allowed Indiana State to take a commanding 56-19 lead at halftime.
