UNCASVILLE, Conn. — In a solid performance on Thursday night, Delaware State triumphed over Grambling with a score of 73-60, marking a noteworthy addition to their season record.
Robert Smith stood out for the Hornets, contributing 16 points and pulling down five rebounds.
Contributing to the team’s success, Martez Robinson scored 15 points, hitting 5 out of 12 attempts from the floor and impressively sinking 4 of 5 from three-point range, along with grabbing six rebounds.
Muneer Newton showcased his shooting prowess as well, converting 6 of 8 field goal attempts to finish with 13 points.
On the other side, James Flippin was the top scorer for Grambling, accumulating 14 points and securing six rebounds.
P.J. Eason also made his mark for the Tigers with 11 points and two steals.
This victory reflects well on Delaware State as they continue to navigate their season.
