The Chicago White Sox have finalized a one-year contract with seasoned right-handed pitcher Bryse Wilson, valued at $1.05 million. On the same day, they also completed a trade that sent catcher Chuckie Robinson to the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash.
Bryse Wilson, aged 26, had a productive season with the Milwaukee Brewers last year, posting a record of 5 wins and 4 losses along with a 4.04 ERA. Over the course of 34 games, including 9 as a starter, he accumulated 82 strikeouts. Throughout his seven-year career in Major League Baseball, Wilson has played for teams including Atlanta, Pittsburgh, and Milwaukee, compiling an overall record of 20 wins and 21 losses with a career ERA of 4.61.
Meanwhile, Chuckie Robinson, 30, struggled during his stint with the White Sox in the 2024 season, hitting just 9 times in 70 at-bats over 26 games. This move reflects the team’s ongoing efforts to restructure its roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
