SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. — In a thrilling college basketball matchup on Tuesday, Jarred Hyder delivered an outstanding performance, netting 29 points to help Cal Poly secure a narrow 95-94 victory over Denver in overtime.

Hyder’s impressive play included contributing five rebounds for the Mustangs, who improved their record to 6-7. Owen Koonce also shined for Cal Poly, scoring 21 points. He had an efficient shooting night, converting 6 of 16 attempts from the field, while making 3 out of 10 from beyond the arc and a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line, to go along with another five rebounds.
