Williams contributes 16 points in Colorado State’s 78-68 victory over Radford

FORT COLLINS, Colorado — Keshawn Williams contributed significantly off the bench, scoring 16 points, leading Colorado State to a 78-68 victory over Radford on Tuesday evening.

In addition to his scoring, Williams secured seven rebounds for the Rams, whose record improved to 6-5. Rashaan Mbemba also impressed with 16 points, capitalizing on six of his seven attempts from the floor, as well as converting four of five from the charity stripe. He rounded out his performance with six rebounds. Kyan Evans had a notable game as well, hitting three of five attempts from three-point range, finishing the night with 15 points after making all his six free throw attempts.

For the Highlanders, who now sit at 9-4, Josiah Harris was the top scorer with 15 points. Brandon Maclin contributed with 12 points, alongside teammate Zion Walker, who also scored 12.

Colorado State managed to take the lead with just under five minutes remaining in the first half, maintaining their advantage throughout the game. At halftime, the Rams were ahead 37-27, with Williams having secured eight of his points by that time. In the second half, Colorado State maintained control, and Evans stepped up as the leading scorer for the team, putting up 12 points after the break.

Looking ahead, Colorado State will face off against Nevada on the road this Saturday, while Radford is set to host Virginia-Lynchburg on Friday.
