LYNCHBURG, Va. — In an impressive display of skill, Taelon Peter scored 30 points, guiding Liberty to a decisive 124-50 victory over Saint Andrews (N.C.) on Tuesday evening.
Peter’s performance was further complemented by his five rebounds, contributing to the Flames’ strong season record of 11-1. Curtis Blair III had a notable game as well, netting 19 points and dominating the boards with 12 rebounds. Brett Decker Jr. made his mark by shooting 60% from the field, including hitting three of his seven attempts from three-point range, resulting in a total of 17 points for the night. This victory extended the Flames’ winning streak to eight games.
For the Knights, Jaylin McDuffie emerged as the leading scorer with 15 points, although his efforts were not enough to turn the tide in favor of his team.
Liberty made a commanding start, leading 59-20 at halftime, with Peter contributing 11 of those points. The Flames maintained their momentum, executing a staggering 30-2 run in the second half that secured a commanding 71-point advantage. Peter capped off his performance with 19 points in that final period, demonstrating his prowess and leading his team to a comfortable win.
