Juventus Regains Fan Support with 4-0 Victory Over Cagliari in Italian Cup

TURIN, Italy — Juventus managed to regain the support of their fans with an impressive 4-0 victory against Cagliari in the Italian Cup on Tuesday evening.

As the reigning champions of the tournament, Juventus is set to face Empoli in the quarterfinals scheduled for February. Empoli secured their place in the next round by defeating Fiorentina in a penalty shootout earlier this month.

Despite a recent win over Manchester City in the Champions League last week, Juventus had encountered difficulties in their domestic league, having drawn four consecutive matches. The team’s performance had reached a low point when they were booed off the pitch following an uninspiring draw against bottom-placed Venezia on Saturday.

The match against Cagliari started with some nervous moments for Juventus, but they found their stride just before halftime. Kenan Y?ld?z delivered an exquisite pass to Dusan Vlahovic, who, despite being surrounded by four defenders, managed to navigate through and score by striking the ball off the inside of the right post.

Shortly after the break, Teun Koopmeiners executed a stunning free kick that soared into the top left corner of the net, doubling the lead for Juventus. The night continued to shine for the Bianconeri, as Francisco Conceição, who had consistently posed a threat to the Cagliari defense throughout the match, found the back of the net in the 80th minute.

Juventus capped off their excellent performance with a spectacular goal by Nico González, who sprinted from his own half before expertly lobbing the ball over the Cagliari goalkeeper Simone Scuffet.
