NEWARK, Del. — Erik Timko delivered a standout performance, scoring 29 points in Delaware’s 92-75 win over Misericordia on Tuesday night.
Timko showcased his shooting prowess, making 8 of 11 attempts from the field, including 6 of 9 from three-point range, and going a perfect 7 for 7 at the free-throw line for the Blue Hens, who now stand at 7-4 for the season. Joining him in the scoring column was John Camden, who contributed 14 points with a shooting line of 4 for 8 overall, 1 for 5 from beyond the arc, while also achieving a perfect 5 of 5 at the charity stripe, along with five rebounds and three steals. Niels Lane made his mark too, adding 12 points after hitting 5 of 11 shots, including two three-pointers out of four attempts.
On the opposing side, Matt Prociak was the top scorer for Misericordia, ending the game with 16 points and six rebounds. Arvel Chandler played a significant role as well, providing 10 points along with four assists, while teammate Kevin Lazdowsky also contributed 10 points to the effort.
Delaware held the advantage at halftime, leading 46-33. Timko was instrumental in the first half, leading the team with 14 points, and he continued to excel in the second half, adding another 15 points to secure the win for the Blue Hens.
