HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — In an impressive display on Monday night, Mikal Dawson contributed significantly to Marshall’s victory over West Virginia Wesleyan, scoring 19 points in a dominant 93-63 matchup.
Dawson showcased his skills by going 7 for 12 from the field, including an impressive 5 for 9 from three-point range, keying the Thundering Herd’s (7-5) success. Meanwhile, Obinna Anochili-Killen supported the team with 14 points, shooting an efficient 6 of 8 from the field and hitting 2 for 3 from the free-throw line. His performance also included five rebounds and three steals, further solidifying the team’s defense and offensive plays.
On the other side, the Bobcats were led by Michael Batchelor, who secured 16 points along with two steals. Curtis Litton also contributed to the scoring effort with 11 points, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Marshall’s strong performance.
