Kristen Bell to reprise her role as host for the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards

Kristen Bell is set to reprise her role as the host for the upcoming Screen Actors Guild Awards, which will be live-streamed on Netflix for the second year in a row.

“I’m thrilled to be asked back and look forward to joining my fellow actors for an unforgettable night dedicated to celebrating our craft,” Bell expressed in a recent statement.

The actress has previously been seen in projects like “Nobody Wants This” and “The Good Place” and made her hosting debut for the SAG Awards in 2018.

This year’s ceremony, which recognizes exceptional performances in film and television, is scheduled to be broadcast live on Netflix on February 23 at 8 p.m. Eastern, taking place at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Last year’s event was hosted by Idris Elba.

Jon Brockett, the executive producer of the SAG Awards, remarked, “Kristen Bell’s humor, warmth, and charisma make her a wonderful choice for our celebration — an evening dedicated to actors and their remarkable performances throughout the year.”

In addition to her hosting duties, Bell is also one of the executive producers and stars in the Netflix series “Nobody Wants This,” alongside Adam Brody.

Her extensive acting portfolio includes projects such as “The People We Hate at the Wedding,” “The Woman in the House,” and her acclaimed role in “The Good Place,” opposite Ted Danson.

Bell’s film resume features hit movies like “Queenpins,” “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” and she is also recognized for voicing the character Anna in Disney’s animated blockbuster “Frozen.”
The ceremony will also celebrate Jane Fonda, who is set to receive the SAG life achievement award during the event.

Nominees for the awards will be unveiled on January 8.
