MOSCOW, Idaho — In an impressive performance, Aniwaniwa Tait-Jones contributed 21 points as UC San Diego secured an 80-56 victory over Idaho on Sunday evening.

Tait-Jones also grabbed five rebounds during the match for the Tritons, who improved their season record to 9-2. Tyler McGhie was another standout, hitting 8 of 18 attempts and knocking down 5 of 11 shots from long range, totaling 21 points. Hayden Gray contributed with 11 points, shooting 4 for 8 overall and converting 2 of his 4 attempts from three-point territory. He also made an impact defensively, registering five steals. This victory marked the Tritons’ seventh consecutive win.

On the other side, Tyler Mrus was the top scorer for the Vandals, posting 20 points. Kolton Mitchell supported the team with 12 points and two steals, while Kristian Gonzalez added eight points to the efforts of Idaho, who fell to a record of 4-7.
