Iowa State continued its impressive home form with an 87-55 victory over Eastern Illinois, marking their 11th consecutive win at home on Sunday evening. Leading the charge was Audi Crooks, who poured in 30 points, while Addy Brown contributed significantly with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Crooks exhibited remarkable shooting efficiency, making 75% of his field goals by hitting 12 of 16 attempts and perfecting all six of his free throw attempts. Brown also had a strong outing, shooting 8-of-14 from the floor.

For Eastern Illinois, Macy McGlone was the standout performer, scoring 14 points before fouling out with just under two minutes remaining in the third quarter. Teammates Alex Rouse and Sydney-James Desroches added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Crooks has been on a scoring spree this season, achieving at least 30 points in three games thus far. The 6-foot-3 sophomore previously scored a career-high 40 points in a thrilling victory against Maryland during the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

The Cyclones began strongly, capping off the first quarter with a 9-0 run that handed them a 23-12 lead. They maintained a 15-point advantage in the second quarter before a quick 8-2 run from the Panthers, with McGlone contributing six points, narrowed the gap to 38-29 by halftime. Georgia Fox managed to bring Eastern Illinois within eight points with a three-pointer late in the third, but Crooks quickly responded with a layup, followed by a three-pointer from Aili Tanke, increasing the lead to 60-47 by the end of the quarter.

Notably, Crooks has shown remarkable consistency, scoring in double figures for 44 consecutive games.

In a separate update, it has been announced that Iowa State junior guard Kenzie Hare will medically redshirt for the 2024-25 season due to a hip injury. Before her injury, Hare had made eight starts in ten games this season.
