DETROIT — During a game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Detroit Lions defensive back Khalil Dorsey sustained a leg injury that necessitated medical attention.
Dorsey was subsequently placed on a backboard and transported off the field.
The injury occurred in the second quarter, when Dorsey collided with teammate Ezekiel Turner while making a defensive play on a pass.
Following the incident, Lions head coach Dan Campbell, along with the team’s players, left the sidelines to support Dorsey until he was safely removed from the field.
Although primarily a backup in the secondary, Dorsey plays an essential role on the Lions’ special teams, highlighting his value to the overall team dynamics.
The incident raised concerns among fans and teammates regarding Dorsey’s health and future contributions to the team.
