HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – On Sunday, Josh Dilling’s impressive performance, scoring 22 points, propelled Northern Kentucky to a 71-62 victory over Norfolk State.
In addition to his scoring, Dilling contributed five rebounds for the Norse, who now sit at a record of 5-6 overall and 1-0 in the Horizon League. Sam Vinson also had a strong outing, adding 21 points to the scoreboard, going 4 of 5 from the field and a remarkable 13 of 15 from the free-throw line. Vinson’s all-around game included five assists and three steals. LJ Wells supported the team with 10 points, shooting 5 of 7 from the field.
For the Spartans, who hold a 6-6 record, Brian Moore Jr. emerged as the top scorer with 12 points and contributed two steals. Terrance Jones also added 12 points, while Kuluel Mading matched this total with another 12 points for Norfolk State.
Looking ahead, Northern Kentucky is set to face Detroit Mercy at home on Wednesday, while Norfolk State will compete against Alabama State on Thursday.
