Blackhawks goalie Petr Mrazek anticipated to practice on Monday as he recovers from a groin injury

The Chicago Blackhawks are seeing some positive developments on the injury front, as goaltender Petr Mrazek is set to return to the ice on Monday after dealing with a left groin injury.
The 32-year-old has been on injured reserve since last weekend and has a record of 7 wins, 11 losses, and 1 overtime loss, accompanied by a goals-against average of 2.83 and a save percentage of .906 over 20 appearances this season.

In addition to Mrazek’s expected return, head coach Anders Sorensen noted that defenseman Seth Jones skated prior to the team’s 5-3 victory against the New York Islanders on Sunday.
Sorensen suggested that Jones, who was placed on injured reserve on November 16 due to a right foot injury, may have also skated on Saturday for a brief period.
At 30 years old, Jones played in the first 17 games of the season and averaged more than 25 and a half minutes of ice time in that span.

In another lineup update, Blackhawks captain Nick Foligno was sidelined for the game against the Islanders due to illness.
Teuvo Teravainen stepped in to fill Foligno’s role within the team’s line combinations, while Joey Anderson was added to the lineup.
Meanwhile, defenseman Wyatt Kaiser was scratched for the game, with Louis Crevier taking his place.

Before the game, Sorensen remarked on the team’s performance, saying, “Just a little reset. Did some good things, some things we have to clean up, and I want to get Crevs back in as well.”
