HENDERSON, Nev. — Joe Bamisile showcased an impressive performance, scoring 25 points as VCU secured a 76-68 victory over Colorado State on Saturday evening.
In addition to his scoring, Bamisile contributed nine rebounds for the Rams, who improved their record to 9-2. Max Shulga was also a key player, tallying 20 points along with 10 rebounds. Alphonzo Billups III had a solid outing, shooting 3 for 6 from the field and connecting on 2 of 5 from three-point range, ending the game with eight points.
On the other side, Keshawn Williams scored 14 points for the Rams, while Colorado State’s Nique Clifford made a notable impact with 12 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Jalen Lake also contributed, finishing with 12 points.
The game saw VCU take control early, gaining the lead with 18:59 remaining in the first half and maintaining that advantage throughout the match. At halftime, the score stood at 33-32, with Shulga contributing 10 points to the tally. Bamisile’s strong second half, where he added 15 points, was instrumental in helping VCU secure an eight-point victory.
