HENDERSON, Nev. — In an exciting showdown at the Jack Jones Classic, Santa Clara triumphed over Bradley with a score of 84-74, largely thanks to the impressive performance from Elijah Mahi, who contributed 23 points to the team’s success.
Mahi recorded a shooting percentage of 47%, making 8 of 17 shots, including 2 of 4 attempts from beyond the arc, and he was nearly flawless at the free-throw line, hitting 5 of 6 shots. Supporting him, Christoph Tilly added 21 points along with five rebounds and five assists, further enhancing the team’s scoreboard. Carlos Stewart also had a strong outing, scoring 20 points on 7 of 11 shooting and making 5 of 8 attempts from three-point territory, while also racking up three steals.
Duke Deen emerged as the standout for the Braves, tallying 23 points and providing seven assists. Zek Montgomery contributed 12 points, and Christian Davis added 11 points along with six rebounds. Despite the effort, Bradley’s seven-game winning streak came to an abrupt end with this defeat.
