BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. — In a thrilling matchup, Leo Colimerio led the Queens University Royals to an 85-83 victory against Gardner-Webb on Saturday.
Colimerio had an impressive performance, scoring 27 points while shooting 67% from the field with 8 successful shots out of 12 attempts. He was especially effective from beyond the arc, hitting 3 of 5, and went 8 for 9 from the free-throw line. His clutch two free throws with just 9 seconds left secured a crucial four-point advantage for the Royals, improving their season record to 6-5.
Alongside Colimerio, Malcolm Wilson contributed significantly with 11 points, demonstrating excellent efficiency by making 5 of 6 shots. Nasir Mann also played a key role, finishing with 9 points, including 2 three-pointers from his 4 attempts.
