ATLANTA — In an impressive performance, Robert Braswell scored 19 points, helping the Charlotte 49ers secure a 77-63 victory over the Georgia State Panthers on Saturday.
Braswell also made his mark defensively, recording three steals during the game, contributing to the team’s overall effort. Nik Graves added 15 points, displaying accuracy by hitting 5 of his 7 field goals and converting 5 out of 9 free throws. Jaehshon Thomas made a significant impact as well, finishing the night with 13 points and grabbing seven rebounds.
On the opposing side, Zarigue Nutter led the Panthers with 19 points. His teammates, Nicholas McMullen and Toneari Lane, also played well, each scoring 13 points and notching six rebounds to support the team.
Charlotte gained control of the game with 8:06 left in the first half and maintained their lead throughout, finishing the first half with a score of 32-25. During this period, Braswell managed to score seven points, setting the tone for the second half, where Charlotte would continue to build on their advantage.
This victory improves the 49ers’ overall record to 5-4, while the Panthers drop to 4-6 for the season. Charlotte’s strong performance, marked by key contributions from multiple players, was pivotal for the win against Georgia State.
