Northern Iowa triumphs over Omaha with a 78-58 victory

Cedar Falls, Iowa — In an impressive display of skill and teamwork, Northern Iowa secured a 78-58 victory against Omaha on Friday night, with Jacob Hutson leading the charge by scoring 21 points.
Hutson also made significant contributions with five assists, helping the Panthers improve their record to 6-4 for the season.
Trey Campbell was another standout for Northern Iowa, delivering 20 points while shooting 5 of 8 overall, which included an impressive 4 for 6 from three-point territory.
He also excelled at the free-throw line, going a perfect 6 for 6, in addition to grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists.
Tytan Anderson added 12 points, shooting 3 of 6 from the field and converting 5 of 7 from the free-throw line.

The Mavericks (4-8) saw their leading scorer in Lance Waddles, who finished the game with 14 points and seven rebounds.
Omaha also received support from Kamryn Thomas and JJ White, both of whom contributed 11 points each.
Northern Iowa took control of the game with a pivotal lead established 3:14 before halftime and did not relinquish it thereafter.
At halftime, the scoreboard read 34-23, with Anderson contributing eight points to the effort.
The Panthers increased their advantage to 43-23 in the second half, driven by a strong 9-0 scoring spree.
Hutson continued to shine in the latter half, scoring 14 points, which helped his team secure a comfortable victory.
