MONTGOMERY, Ala. — In an exciting matchup on Wednesday night, Alabama State edged out UT Martin with a final score of 103-93 after a thrilling overtime period. Amarr Knox was instrumental in the victory, scoring 23 points for the Hornets.

As the game approached its conclusion, UT Martin managed to tie the score by netting five points in the last 15 seconds of regulation. However, the Hornets regrouped effectively in overtime, decisively outscoring the Skyhawks 15-5 to secure the win.

Knox performed strongly, making 7 of his 14 attempts from the floor, which included 1 of 3 from three-point range, and an impressive 8 for 9 from the free-throw line. The Hornets improved their record to 4-6 with this victory. Micah Simpsom also contributed significantly, scoring 20 points by going 7 of 13 overall and excelling with 6 of 10 from beyond the arc.
