Orem, Utah – In a decisive performance, Carter Welling led Utah Valley to an 80-57 victory against North Dakota on Wednesday evening, scoring 19 points.

Welling’s efforts were further complemented by his seven rebounds, contributing significantly to the Wolverines’ overall success and boosting their record to 5-5. Dominick Nelson also made a solid impact, putting up 15 points while shooting 6 of 11 from the field, which included a 1 of 4 showing from beyond the arc, and converting 2 of 4 free throw attempts. Tanner Toolson rounded out the offense with 10 points, having a shooting line of 4 of 9 overall, including hitting 2 of 5 from the three-point range.

On the other side, North Dakota struggled to keep pace, led by Treysen Eaglestaff who scored 20 points. Amar Kuljuhovic contributed 13 points to the Fighting Hawks’ efforts, while Eli King added eight points and recorded three steals, but it wasn’t enough to shift the momentum of the game.

The Wolverines showcased their strength on the court, proving to be a challenging opponent for North Dakota. As the season continues, both teams will look to build on their performances in hopes of improving their standings.
