DOVER, Del. — In an exciting matchup on Wednesday evening, Robert Smith showcased an impressive performance as he scored 27 points, leading Delaware State to a 71-59 victory over NJIT.
Smith’s impactful game also included six rebounds, playing a crucial role for the Hornets, who now stand at a record of 5-6. Martez Robinson contributed to the team’s success with 10 points, despite struggling with his shooting (2 of 9) but redeeming himself by going a perfect 6 for 6 at the free-throw line, in addition to grabbing eight rebounds.
