HENDERSON, Nev. — The Las Vegas Raiders have officially moved quarterback Carter Bradley from the practice squad to the active roster as of Tuesday, while running back Zamir White has been placed on season-ending injured reserve.

This promotion of Bradley indicates the Raiders are worried about the status of their starting quarterback, Aidan O’Connell, who sustained a left knee injury during Sunday’s game, which ended in a 28-13 defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Should O’Connell be unable to participate in the upcoming Monday night home matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Antonio Pierce has stated that Desmond Ridder would take the helm as the starting quarterback. Ridder previously started 13 games for Atlanta before making his way over to Arizona in a trade last season.

To further bolster their quarterback options, the Raiders have also added experienced quarterback Jake Luton to their practice squad.

Meanwhile, Zamir White’s placement on injured reserve stems from a quadriceps injury, meaning he will have to sit out at least four games. With only four games left on the Raiders’ schedule, this decision effectively concludes a challenging season for White.

Initially seen as a potential successor to Josh Jacobs after an impressive finish last season where he logged 397 rushing yards in four games, White played in eight games this season, starting five of them. He accumulated only 183 rushing yards, averaging just 2.8 yards per carry, and has not seen action since November 17 against Miami.

Currently, the Raiders’ rushing attack is struggling, ranking last in the NFL with an average of 79.1 yards per game. By contrast, Jacobs, who has since signed a free-agent deal with the Green Bay Packers after failing to secure an agreement with the Raiders, stands third in the league with a total of 1,053 rushing yards.
