Josh Uduje delivered an impressive performance with 21 points, and Robert Vaihola recorded a double-double as San Jose State triumphed over Lincoln University (CA) with a score of 117-80 on Monday evening.
Uduje made 8 of 13 attempts from the field and successfully converted all five of his free throws for the Spartans, who now hold a record of 5-6. Vaihola contributed significantly with 17 points and a remarkable career-high of 18 rebounds. Additionally, both Donovan Yap Jr. and Sadraque NgaNga added 16 points each to the scoreboard.
On the opposing side, Joshua Russ stood out for the Oaklanders with 18 points, showcasing his shooting skills by making 6 of 12 tries from beyond the arc. Elijah Williams also made a noteworthy contribution with 17 points, while Claude McKesey and Laolu Kalejaiye chipped in with 15 points each.
Uduje helped the Spartans establish a 57-47 lead going into halftime with his 14 points in that period. In the second half, Lincoln University narrowed the gap to six points early on, but San Jose State responded with an explosive 17-0 run, further extending their lead.
Next up, the Spartans are set to host Cal Poly this coming Saturday.
