NEW YORK — Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour achieved a remarkable milestone, generating $2.2 billion during its nearly two-year span, earning the title of the highest-grossing tour in history for the second consecutive year, based on estimates from Pollstar that included data from 149 performances.
The latest figures were released on Monday, following Swift’s final performance of the Eras tour in Vancouver, Canada. The tour broke barriers last year by being the first ever to surpass the billion-dollar revenue threshold.
In North America alone, the tour accrued approximately $1.04 billion. When considering global figures, the total skyrockets to an impressive $2.2 billion.
“We are witnessing history in the making. What Taylor Swift and The Eras Tour accomplished in 21 months across five continents before 10 million fans is extraordinary and unprecedented,” stated Andy Gensler, Pollstar & VenuesNow’s editor-in-chief. “The tour’s estimated gross of $2.2 billion is not only the highest ever but is also nearly double that of the second-largest tour.” He emphasized that this tour exemplifies how the industry continues to break boundaries, providing music, community, and unforgettable experiences to countless fans around the world.
As for the second highest-grossing tour, Coldplay’s ongoing “Music of the Spheres” tour has amassed an estimated $1.14 billion since its inception in March 2022, with plans for more dates extending into 2025.
Pollstar’s estimates indicate that Coldplay has sold over 10.3 million tickets, while Swift’s tour exceeded 10 million tickets sold, making her the top solo artist in terms of ticket sales.
The data compiled by Pollstar is derived from various sources, including box office reports, estimated venue capacities, historical sales data, and other unspecified research, collected between November 2022 and December 2024.
Further insights and information will be published in Pollstar’s special year-end issue and will be available on their website starting Friday.
