NEW YORK — Romad Dean contributed significantly to Fordham’s performance, scoring 16 points in their 87-72 triumph over Maine on Sunday.
Dean’s efforts also included five rebounds and four steals, showcasing his all-around skill set for the Rams, who improved their record to 6-5.
Jackie Johnson III also made a notable contribution with 16 points alongside six assists, while Abdou Tsimbila added 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
For the Black Bears, who share a record of 6-5, AJ Lopez was the standout player, scoring an impressive 24 points.
Keelan Steele contributed 10 points and two steals, and Christopher Mantis added eight points to the team’s efforts.
Fordham secured the lead early in the match, taking control with 18:36 remaining in the first half and maintained their advantage throughout the game.
Dean played a crucial role in this early success, leading the scoring for his team with nine points in the first half, which allowed them to establish a solid 37-23 advantage by halftime.
