LONDON — Arsenal continues to showcase its prowess in the Premier League, specifically when it comes to scoring from set pieces.
Following a commanding 2-0 victory against Manchester United, where they netted two goals from corner kicks, the team added to its tally with another corner goal during their match against Fulham.
William Saliba found the back of the net after tapping in from close range, having received a perfectly placed headed pass from Kai Havertz, making the score 1-1 after 70 minutes of play.

According to recent reports, Arsenal has been particularly prolific when it comes to corner kicks, racking up 23 goals from this set-piece opportunity since the beginning of the 2023-24 season.
This impressive statistic places them at the top among all teams in Europe’s premier leagues.

Notably, after their match against Manchester United, former striker Dimitar Berbatov humorously noted that Arsenal resembles “the new Stoke City,” referring to their reliance on set pieces for securing victories.
Stoke City was well-known for its effectiveness with set-piece plays during its time in the Premier League under the management of Tony Pulis.

To enhance their effectiveness in this area, Arsenal enlisted a specialist set-piece coach, Nicolas Jover, a German-born Frenchman who previously collaborated with manager Mikel Arteta at Manchester City.

As the season progresses, Arsenal’s ability to capitalize on corner opportunities continues to set them apart in the league, showcasing both tactical awareness and execution on the pitch.
