HUNTSVILLE, Texas – In an exciting matchup on Saturday night, Lamar Wilkerson showcased an impressive performance with 26 points, guiding Sam Houston to a commanding 87-71 victory over Texas Southern.
Wilkerson also contributed five rebounds to his team’s success as the Bearkats improved their season record to 5-5.
Alongside Wilkerson, Cameron Huefner made a significant impact, adding 22 points and grabbing six rebounds. Dorian Finister chipped in with 13 points, strengthening the team’s offensive efforts.
The Tigers, on the other hand, struggled to find their rhythm, ultimately falling to 1-7. Kavion McClain was a standout for Texas Southern, leading the team with 19 points and providing five assists. Kolby Granger added 14 points, along with three steals, while Oumar Koureissi contributed 13 points to the scoreboard.
