FRISCO, Texas — On Saturday, Air Force emerged victorious against Stony Brook with a score of 69-61, largely thanks to the standout performance of Wesley Celichowski, who contributed 22 points to the team’s effort.
Celichowski had an impressive shooting night, going 6 for 10 from the field, including 2 from 4 behind the three-point arc, and he was perfect from the free-throw line, hitting all 8 attempts. For the Falcons (3-7), Ethan Taylor also made a significant impact, scoring 17 points, shooting 6 of 11 from the field while connecting on 3 of 6 three-point attempts. He additionally recorded eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals, showcasing his all-around game. Caleb Walker made a strong contribution as well, finishing with 14 points, shooting flawlessly from the field at 6 for 6 and successfully making 2 of 4 free throws.
The Seawolves (2-7) put up a valiant effort, with CJ Luster II leading the scoring for Stony Brook with 27 points. His performance was complemented by Collin O’Connor, who added 13 points, and Andre Snoddy, who contributed 11 points to the team’s total. Despite the collective efforts of Stony Brook’s players, they fell short against the Falcons.
This matchup highlighted the competitive spirit of both teams, but ultimately, Air Force secured the win, building momentum as they look to improve their record moving forward in the season.
