FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Trenton McLaughlin was instrumental in leading Northern Arizona to a victory over South Dakota, finishing with an impressive 23 points during Saturday’s matchup, which ended in a score of 95-82.
McLaughlin’s performance included a shooting performance of 6 for 14 from the field and 2 for 7 from beyond the three-point line. He also excelled at the free-throw line, making 9 of his 12 attempts. His teammate, Jayden Jackson, contributed significantly with 20 points, shooting 6 for 9 from the field and 7 for 9 from the line, while also providing seven assists to his team. Monty Bowser complemented the offense, adding 14 points with an efficient 6 for 7 shooting, including 2 for 3 accuracy from long-range.
On the opposite side, Isaac Bruns led the Coyotes with 22 points and secured seven rebounds. Chase Forte also made a noteworthy contribution, netting 15 points to go along with five assists and four steals, while Paul Bruns added nine points to the scoreboard for South Dakota.
This win improves Northern Arizona’s record to 7-3, as they continue their season, showcasing a strong offensive effort against the Coyotes, who now stand at 7-4 following the contest.
