— Long Beach State secured a 73-56 victory over Cal State Fullerton on Thursday, with Devin Askew leading the charge by contributing 16 points to the win.
Askew also showcased his all-around game with six rebounds and three steals, helping his team to improve its record to 2-8 overall and 1-0 in the Big West Conference.
Kam Martin made a notable impact as well, scoring 11 points and displaying efficiency by hitting 4 of 8 field-goal attempts, of which three were successful from beyond the arc.
TJ Wainwright added 10 points to the scoreline, shooting 4 for 10 from the field, as the Beach broke an eight-game losing streak with this win.
For the Titans, who are now at 2-7 overall and 0-1 in conference play, Kendrick De Luna was one of the standout performers, finishing with 10 points.
Kobe Young contributed significantly as well, scoring nine points while also grabbing seven rebounds.
John Square Jr. chimed in with another nine points, but it was not enough to stop the Titans from falling short against Long Beach.
